Ball Busted Arrest Route
Ball Police Department serves the town, but there is no public online jail roster. Its official page mostly lists agency contacts. When an arrest leads to parish detention, custody shifts to Sheriff Mark Wood's RPSO. RPSO says Detention Center I handles bookings for every agency in Rapides Parish. The Ball page itself never claims each citation or arrest lands there.
The April 1, 2020 Census POP100 count put Ball at 3,961 residents. A town that size has fewer official publishing channels than Alexandria or Pineville. No Ball daily arrest log or blotter exists publicly. That gap deserves a plain statement, not filler built from guessed cases or photos lifted from a parish index. Outcomes vary, too. A person might be cited and released with no jail entry, held in the parish system, or named in a joint-agency release.
Where Ball Busted Mugshots Appear
Each official source covers a slice of the picture. The Ball police page tells you who the town agency is and how to reach them. LAVNS is different. It gives a live look at adults currently in custody or just reported there. RPSO press releases might mention a Ball or RADE case. Those only appear when something newsworthy happens. Stack them together and you still come up short. None hands you a complete gallery of town booking photos.
| Channel | Coverage | Photo status | Source type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ball Police | Agency and contact information | No gallery or daily feed | Official town source |
| Rapides LAVNS | Current adult custody snapshot | No visible photo field | Official custody source |
| RPSO news and inquiry | Parish bookings and selected cases | Only where law permits | Official sheriff source |
| KALB Crime | Selected county or joint cases | Story dependent | Local news |
| RecentlyBooked Rapides | Unofficial parish entries | Site reported no Rapides images | Secondary lead only |
Commercial sites fill part of the gap. Busted Newspaper, Mugshots.com, Mugshots.zone, and Public Jail Records all carry parish-level material. Their Ball coverage runs spotty, though. A Rapides Parish tag alone doesn't mean Ball Police made the bust. Check before you tie any entry to this town. Match the arresting agency, place, and date. Confirm where the person is held against an official record too.
Find Who Was Busted in Ball
Work from the closest source outward. Start where the arrest happened. Then follow the trail through booking and into court records. That order keeps a police report from getting mixed up with a jail roster entry. One more tip helps. Write down the date of each lookup. Live custody information shifts fast, and yesterday's roster may not match today's.
- Contact Ball Police to ask whether it created an incident or arrest report for the named event.
- Check the Rapides LAVNS roster by last-name letter, then compare the name, birth date, and arrest date.
- Use the RPSO inmate inquiry or Booking Desk when the roster is unavailable or a current custody answer needs confirmation.
- Send a written request to the Town of Ball for the police-side record and to RPSO for a booking-side record or photograph.
- Check the proper city or Ninth Judicial District Court record for the disposition after filing.
The Rapides Parish busted mugshots hub lays out the full parish roster and the feed behind it. A few quirks are worth knowing. Someone released may vanish from LAVNS while a town record or court filing still stands. A person moved into Louisiana DPS&C custody belongs in the state locator instead. A federal or immigration search answers a different question entirely. It never substitutes for the town or parish record.
Note: A missing name can mean release, transfer, delayed entry, restriction, a correction, or a citation that never led to jail intake.
Ball Busted Records Request
Ball Police posts no online records form, fee schedule, turnaround promise, or mugshot request process of its own. The fallback is the Town of Ball public-records procedure. Town Clerk Abbey Rosier serves as custodian, and the town accepts written requests three ways: by mail, in person at Town Hall, or by email at arosier@townofball.com. Ask for one specific item rather than everything tied to a name. Narrow requests get routed faster.

One wrinkle deserves attention. The police page lists the address as 100 Municipal Drive. The town contact and records pages say 100 Municipal Lane for Town Hall. Check the street suffix before walking in. The mismatch is documented, so it shouldn't be quietly corrected. Mailing or emailing your request sidesteps the confusion entirely.
Whatever route you choose, include the full name, an approximate date, the location, a report number if you have one, and the exact item you want. Direct arrest report questions to Ball. If the person was booked at the parish level, ask RPSO separately for the booking book entry, summary, custody record, or photo. Get a written fee estimate. Also request the legal basis for anything withheld.
Ball Mugshot Legal Limits
Louisiana draws a sharp line between booking data and booking photos. Code of Criminal Procedure Art. 228 requires booking and keeps a booking book and summary open to view. Current Art. 234 takes a tighter grip on the image itself. It restricts when an officer or agency may hand it out or publish it. The exceptions are specific. They cover fugitive apprehension, an imminent threat, a court order showing legitimate interest, certain convictions or litigation, specified serious offenses, surety requests, and ongoing investigations.
The person in the photo, or their counsel of record, holds a separate request right. Anyone else should simply ask whether an image exists and which exception might allow its release. No Ball-specific form trumps the state rule. And a refusal doesn't prove no photo was taken. So never patch a no-photo roster with an image from an unofficial site.
- Booking record
- The jail intake entry and summary created after arrest.
- Booking photograph
- An identification image generated after arrest or while in custody.
- Custody roster
- A changing list of people currently or recently reported in custody.
- Disposition
- The court's later result, which may differ from the booking charge.
Ball Busted Joint Cases
Not every Ball case appears as a Ball-only announcement. RADE, the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement unit, is a multi-jurisdictional team. Ball Police is one of its members, per RPSO Crime Stoppers and news materials. A RADE press release may be the first public paper trail for a town case. Still, plenty of Ball arrests have nothing to do with that unit.
Before labeling an event, read who released it. The sheriff's office might handle both the announcement and the detention record, while Ball Police keeps its own incident report. State or federal partners can layer on top of that. Label each source for what it proves, nothing more. An agency's news image exists for reasons that agency chose, and that does not open a general right to every booking photo in Rapides Parish.
Crime Stoppers is a tip line. It is not an arrest database, and it should never be used to confront or track anyone. Route tips through the official number or encrypted channel. Questions about an existing record belong with the agency or its custodian.
Ball Arrests After Release
Rapides LAVNS tracks custody and sends notifications. It is not a Ball arrest archive. The public table lists name, date of birth, race, gender, and arrest date. Nothing more. There is no photograph, charge narrative, booking number, bond, release time, or court outcome. A person can also drop off the current list while the town report and the court record live on.
| Question | Check | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Did Ball Police document the event? | Ball PD or town custodian | Does not prove current custody |
| Is the adult listed in parish custody? | LAVNS or RPSO | Does not prove guilt |
| Was there a parish court filing? | 9th JDC or RAPID E-Search | May lag behind a new arrest |
| Was the person sent to state custody? | Louisiana DPS&C/LAVNS | Not the original Ball report |
Take the question to the right court for the charge and the jurisdiction. A court index can show filings and what happened later, though the clerk's original record controls. Booking charges can shrink, vanish, or end in acquittal. Whenever a later result exists, pair it with the original arrest report so the story stays whole.
Ball Busted News Coverage
Ball gets less routine crime coverage than Alexandria or Pineville. KALB and the Rapides Parish Journal sometimes pick up a parish or joint-agency case. RPSO releases can touch Ball through RADE or another cooperative effort. None of these outlets runs a complete Ball booking log, and no regular Ball-only crime-news cadence exists. The Rapides Parish Arrest News page sorts official announcements from local reporting, and The Town Talk covers parish matters too. Check the dateline and the named agency before a story earns the Ball label. Photos are selective: an agency image, a scene image, or nothing at all.
Commercial indexes sit behind those sources. RecentlyBooked claims its Rapides page refreshes several times a day over a recent window, but it is unofficial and currently says the parish supplies no images. Mugshots.com may hold older results. Mugshots.zone entries can be stale, and Public Jail Records warns that transfers and failure-to-appear events create confusing entries. None of them replaces Ball Police, RPSO, or the court.
Note: No complete, continuously updated Ball arrest or booking-photo gallery exists in the official or local-news sources.
